FEATURED ANNOUNCEMENTS
1. Youth Sunday
Youth Sunday will be celebrated Sunday, May 7th with a message from Pastor Rachael and graduating high school seniors being recognized at the 10:45 service. A cake reception will be held following the service

2. Plant Sale
The annual plant sale will begin this Sunday. The suggested donation is $1 per plant. Seedlings for tomatoes, pepper and other garden plants will be offered. All proceeds go toward IT support and equipment. Thank you for supporting this sale that helps your Garden grow and keeps out computer and stuff running.

2. Plastic Bottle CapsVBS will be here before we know it - so it's time to start getting supplies together. The first thing the team is asking for is plastic bottle caps and lots of them. Think... soda bottles, water bottles, milk jugs, pill bottles. etc - you get the idea. You can drop your plastic bottle caps off at the church office Monday - Friday and the Welcome Center on Sundays.  Thanks!

1. ALL CHURCH GARAGE SALE
G.A.L.S are hosting an all church garage sale Saturday, April 22nd from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. They are accepting donations of  clean, ready to sell items.  Gently used children's clothing will be accepted, but please no adult clothes. Proceeds from the sale will go toward the Church Improvement Fund. 2. Movie NightThe education department is hosting movie night tomorrow - April 21st at 7:00 p.m. They are showing the movie "What If?" Refreshments will be available.

If you, any member of your family or someone you know made a contribution to the Family Life Center designated fund at First Baptist Church of Olathe.

Please send or have them send a letter to:

That states full name and how the funds are to be handled, you or they have three (3) options.

Option 1: Allow the church to apply your donation to its Building Improvement project

Option 2: Receive a refund of your donation. Please be aware that return of a prior donation could have tax consequences if you have already claimed that donation on your tax returns. Please consult your tax advisor.

Option 3: Allow the church to move your donation to its General Fund

Please provide a written response to the church no later than April 15, 2017. If you do not respond by this time, all monies remaining in the FLC designated fund will be moved to the General Fund at that time in accordance with the First Baptist Church of Olathe/Connections Community Church Financial Policy.

2. American Baptist Women General Gathering
April 4th at 6:30 p.m. in the Welcome Center. A Salad Supper & Dessert will be served. Everyone (ladies & gentlemen) are invited to attend. Special guest LaVern Fields will be talking about the ALICE Safety program being used in public schools.

3. Haiti 2017
Practicing the Presence of Christ is the theme of this trip being planned for July 20-25 in partnership with the Global Orphan Project & ABC Missions. There are a number of ways to be involved: 1. Be part of the team that is going. 2. Give to support one of the missionaries or contribute items will be taken to Haiti. 3. Pray and 4. Serve, if you can't go to Haiti find some place local to serve. For additional information pick-up an overview packet at the Welcome Center or contact Jen Kane at jentea78@gmail.com or 785-248-9317

Family Life Center Fund Dissolution

Please share this information with anyone who may be affected.

If you, any member of your family or someone you know made a contribution to the Family Life Center designated fund at First Baptist Church of Olathe.

Please send or have them send a letter to:

That states full name and how the funds are to be handled, you or they have three (3) options.

Option 1: Allow the church to apply your donation to its Building Improvement project

Option 2: Receive a refund of your donation. Please be aware that return of a prior donation could have tax consequences if you have already claimed that donation on your tax returns.  Please consult your tax advisor.

Option 3: Allow the church to move your donation to its General Fund

Please provide a written response to the church no later than April 15, 2017.  If you do not respond by this time, all monies remaining in the FLC designated fund will be moved to the General Fund at that time in accordance with the First Baptist Church of Olathe/Connections Community Church Financial Policy.

1. Business Meeting

Our first regular business meeting of the year is scheduled for Wednesday, March 15th at 6:30 p.m. Supper will be served at 5:30 p.m. instead of the usual 5:00. 

2. Spring Ahead
Be sure to set your clocks ahead one (1) hour before bed on Saturday.

3. Office Hours
Due to extra hours worked the office will close Friday, March 10th between 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. depending on the length of the Diaconate meeting tonight (3/9)

3. Haiti 2017

Practicing the Presence of Christ is the theme of this trip being planned for July 20-25 in partnership with the Global Orphan Project & ABC Missions. There are a number of ways to be involved: 1. Be part of the team that is going. 2. Give to support one of the missionaries or contribute items will be taken to Haiti. 3. Pray and 4.
