FEATURED ANNOUNCEMENTS

1. May 1st

Two things are happening on Sunday, May 1st. A new small group, lead by Leann Carrick will begin meeting. If you are interested contact Leann at leanncarrick.fbc@gmail.com. May 1st is also Youth Sunday - members of our youth group will be serving during the 10:45 a.m. service and we will also honor our graduating High School seniors. If you know of someone who should be included contact Pastor Rachael A.S.A.P at rachael.boevers.fbc@gmail.com

2. Something For School Teachers

Green Lantern Car Wash is showing appreciation to all school teachers on May 3rd from 7 am - 8 pm. All you have to do is show your ID badge and they'll treat for a basic wash.

3. Special Business Meeting

May 25th - This will be an informational meeting that will cover two topics. First on the agenda will be a discussion of facility upgrades that are needed at the Olathe campus. Then Pastor Derek will give the Common Meeting presentation concerning the name change.

If you have not attended a Common Meeting and will not be able to attend the special meeting a limited number of DVDs of the presentation are available to check out from Leann at the church office.

Coming up Sunday:

May 1st is Youth Sunday! We'll recognize our graduating seniors during the 10:45 service. Pastor Rachael Boevers will use John 5:1-9 for messaged titled Knowledge, Compassion, Power. We will come to the Lord's table as we take communion.

Come play Bunco on May 3rd at 10:00 am - enjoy fellowship, fun and some yummy snacks too.

Wednesday Night Supper is a great way to connect. Join us for a delicious meal Wednesdays at 5:00 p.m.

SERVE
Want to be missional? Why not serve at Center of Grace - Thursday, May 19th. Sign up at the Welcome Center to provide a dessert, help serve or both. Serving begins at 5:15 p.m. The Center of Grace is located at 520 S Harrison Street in Olathe.

Vacation Bible School will be here before you know it.

1. Connecting Opportunity
April 26 is the American Baptist Women, Luther Rice Association Spring Rally. This event will take place at First Baptist Church, Ottawa. Hear from some of our missionaries, enjoy fellowship time and lunch. A group will leave from our church's parking lot at 8:00 a.m. that day. 2. Youth Dinner & Dessert Auction

This Sunday(April 24) at 5:30 p.m. This is our youth ministry's big fundraiser of the year. See one on our youth after services on Sunday to get a ticket. Tickets are $2o. Can't be at the dinner? Guest speakers Jay Novacek the principal for Olathe West and Erin Dugan the Assistant Superintendent of Olathe Schools will be the highlight of the highlight of the program.
