1. Risen - the Movie (Rated PG-13)
This Sunday lets all meet up at the AMC theater on S. Stang Line Court for the 1:00 p.m. showing of this movie about the Resurrection from the perspective of an unbelieving Roman soldier. Ticket prices at the box office should be: Adults $8.18; Child (2-12) $6.54 and Seniors (60+) $6.54. See you there!
2. Service Time Changes
Beginning March 13, 2016 we  will be changing our service time. The new times are as follows: New Traditions at 9:30 a.m. and Celebrations at 10:45 a.m. Small Groups/Sunday School will be available at 8:15 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. - If you are currently part of a Sunday Small Group please check with your leader to see when your group will be meeting. New small groups will be forming so please keeping watching for news of additional groups. Oh and don't forget to set your clocks ahead 1 hours before you go to bed on March 12th.
2. Congregational Business Meeting
Wednesday, March 16th - we will hold our first regular business meeting of the year. Please join us for supper at 5:30 p.m. and the meeting at 6:30 p.m.

Coming up Sunday:
On this Third Sunday of Lent we continue our Lenten series called Prayer Power with a message titled The Great Unmasking. Pastor Derek will use Ephesians 2:4-9 to show us that through prayer the real enemy is identifies and grace wins.

CONNECT
Wednesday Night Supper is a great way to connect with others. Join us for a great meal Wednesdays at 5:00 p.m. Cost person (to cover the cost of groceries) is $4. Please use the CONNECT card attached the the Sunday bulletin to sign up or call the church office 913-764-7088 by Tuesday.

1. Service Time Changes

1. Gardner Campus Name - Last Chance
We will be signing the papers to take possession of the property that will become our Gardner Campus very soon. With that in mind we need to name the campus. The name will be very important because it will inform the community about who we are and what we are about. After much discussion, prayer and giving the public access to the possibilities, the staff has narrowed the choices to two: "Celebrate Community Church" and "Connections Community Church". Be In The Know - February 4, 2016

1. Ash Wednesday
We kick off the Lenten Season on Wednesday, February 10th.  Supper that night will be served starting at 5:30 p.m. - that's a half hour later than usual - so join us for Pulled Pork and then stay for the Ash Wednesday service that will begin at 6:30 p.m.

2. Give a Warm Welcome To...
Rachael Day our new Youth Pastor and her fiance John Boever. Rachael moved to the Kansas City area from Texas in May 2015. She was the youth minister at First Baptist Church of Muleshoe, Texas for almost five years and holds a Master's degree in Youth Ministry. We are excited to have Rachael on the team. So help us make Rachael and John feel welcome.





3. Gardner Campus Update
A core group of people have been meeting at Gardner for a little while now studying together and working on the building in preparation of our launching a new campus there later this year. Parents Night Out - Saturday, February 13th 6:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Parents drop your kids off at church and go out for a Valentine's date night. Sign-up at the Welcome Center. Donations welcome - all proceeds will benefit the youth group.

Want an easy, fun and very important way of serving at FBC? This serving opportunity is for you - we are looking for greeters for both services. Research shows that first time visitors to a church start deciding whether or not they will return, the minute the pull in the driveway and that they will make a decision about returning before they ever hear a note of music or the sermon. That means that how well they are greeted and made to feel welcome is vital in their decision to come back.
