The office will close by 2:30 on Friday, November 10 and Leann will be out of the office on Monday, November 13th.
2. Congregational Discussion Series
We continue our current discussion series on the topic of Welcoming & Inviting People to Church on 11/16 at 7:00 p.m. The last discussion will take place on November 30th.
Each of these meetings will be the same, so you don't need to come to all of them unless you would like to hear how each discussion goes, but do try to come to at least one.
2. All Church Thanksgiving & Outreach - Save the date: Sunday, November 19th for the All Church Thanksgiving Meal & Outreach. Here's how it will work: The first service folks will get things set up. When second service is over we will pack thanksgiving meals for the homeless and then sit down together to enjoy the meal ourselves. Second service folks will take care of cleaning up. The church will supply the turkey and the rest of the food will be potluck style with type of dishes assigned by last name. A-J side dishes; K-R desserts and S-Z salads

If you attend the first service drop it in the offering plate as it goes by. If you attend the second service you can put the Connect Card in the offering boxes at the back of the Sanctuary. Coming up This Weekend:
This Sunday Pastor Derek will share a message titled Properly Prepared looking at a passage from the Old Testament - Malachi 3:8-12. There will be Baptisms during the second service.

Prayer List Reminder - If you would like a list with full names they are available by request from the Welcome Center and if they run out Leann will be happy to print one for you.
ABW General Meeting - Saturday, November 11 at 9:30 a.m. Breakfast will be served and all are welcome to attend. Special Guest will be Barbara McEver who works with the homeless in Olathe. A collection of the following items will be taken during the meeting:
Canned Meat (with a pull tab for opening)

Gloves (Medium & Large, Men & Women)
Hair brushes & combs (new in packages)

Serve at Grace - November 16th sign-up sheets are now at the Welcome Center sign up to provide a dessert, serve or both.
Patsy's Pantry - November 28th needs dessert for 40 at Hope Lodge. If you can help by providing a dessert or would like to know more please contact Sandy Huggins at 913-634-1520
Friday Front Desk - we are looking for someone to be a presence in the Welcome Center on Friday afternoons when Leann needs to leave early to offset any overtime worked during the week. For more information please contact Leann.
Church Historian - we are looking for someone to serve as Church Historian particularly in creating a timeline display of the church's history. For more information please see Pastor Derek.
