1. Office Hours & Be In The Know
The Office will close at 1:45 p.m. on Friday, October 20th. Leann will be out of the office on October 26 & 27 so be looking for Be In The Know on Wednesday, October 25th instead.
2. ABW Craft Fair & Bake Sale
Set up for the Craft Fair & Bake begins October 19th. October 21st is the big day - volunteers are still needed, sign up at the welcome center or contact Carolyn Ibach at 816-830-9082 or Janet Dempsie at 913-782-6394
3. Pumpkins, Chili & Trunks
Our annual Trunk or Treat will take place October 29th. Festivities kick off at 5:00 p.m. with Supper. We are looking for donations of small pumpkins for the Awana Club kids to decorate, Chili for the chili cook-off and decorated trunks with plenty of candy. 4. Connections Preschool - Thank You
Connections Preschool is sending a big thank you out to Schaake's Pumpkin Patch for their recent donation to the school and would like to recommend that if you are looking for a fun family outing you might enjoy a trip out to Schaake's Pumpkin Patch located at 1791 North 1500 Road, Lawrence KS. They open daily at 9:00 a.m. through October 30th.

Discussion Series - Welcoming & Inviting People to Church - for three Thursdays in November we will discuss all sorts of thing concerning this topic. Join us November 2, 16 and 30 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.
SERVE
Food 4 Hope - a ministry of our youth group currently has a request for 5 food bags. Please pick up a list of needed items for these bags at the Welcome Center. Donations for this can be dropped off at the office.
Friday Front Desk - we are looking for someone to be a presence in the Welcome Center on Friday afternoons when Leann needs to leave early to offset any overtime worked during the week. For more information please contact Leann.
Church Historian - we are looking for someone to serve as Church Historian particularly in creating a timeline display of the church's history. For more information please see Pastor Derek.
Preschool Playground Keeper - we are looking for someone who can keep our preschool playground safe and neat. For more information see Director Jennifer Guilliams.
