Be In The Know - July 20, 2017

FEATURED ANNOUNCEMENTS
1. Room Revolution
This project continues, just a few more book shelves to be modified and moved to new locations. Next week we'll be updating the database (check bulletin for update form) and getting the children's check in software going. The toddler space (the old workroom) is coming along. Thanks to some amazing volunteers we'll be getting a lot of painting done in the children and youth spaces and adjacent hallway, as well as some new signage. Our goal is still to have the majority of these changes made by the end of July, with finishing touches be completed by the August 5th Night of Worship.

2. What to be more involved?
Sunday, July 23rd will be the second Next Step Connect info meeting. Opportunities after each service to learn more about serving opportunities in the church.  August 13th we will have an info meeting and a volunteer training class.   Volunteers are needed for all sorts of things in all ministry areas from children's to youth to Wednesday evening kitchen help. Come to this Sunday's  meeting learn more.

3. Building Improvement
Demolition of the main bathrooms is almost complete. Steady progress is being made on the new platform and with the installation of the new sound and light systems. As of this writing we are on schedule for the Night of Worship.

5. Office Hours
The office will close at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 21 due to a building improvement committee meeting earlier this week.

WORSHIP
Let Us Know...
Please be sure to fill out a Connect Card each week to let us know you were at church and how the staff can be praying for you. If you attend the first service drop it in the offering plate as it goes by. If you attend the second service you can put the Connect Card in the offering boxes at the back of the Sanctuary. You can also sign-up for Wednesday Night Supper that way. For those of you who regularly fill them out - THANK YOU!

Be sure to check the bulletin for the question of the week.
