1. Holiday Potluck

Sunday, December 11th we'll gather for a Holiday Potluck following the second service (right around noon) If your last name begins with....please bring

2. Business Meeting

We will have our end of the year business meeting Wednesday, December 14th. Supper will be served at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. At this meeting we will vote on the 2017 Diaconate Slate, the 2017 Budget, provide an overview of what we've accomplished for the Kingdom and give an update on facility projects for 2017.

3. Needs in Youth & Children

The youth group will be moving upstairs starting December 11 so they are looking for 4 used but in good condition sofas and a large in good working order flat screen tv. If you can help or need more information please contact Pastor Rachael at 832-349-0700 or email at rachael.boevers.fbc@gmail.com

Coming up Sunday:

This Sunday we celebrate the 2nd Sunday of Advent as we continue our Advent series The Missing Link and a message titled Real Peace? we'll be reflecting on Matthew 1:18-25. During the service we will also light both the 1st candle - Mary's Candle as well as light a second candle - Joseph's Candle. Following the message we will come to the Lord's table for communion.

A Christmas Night of Worship:

Join us for a wonderful evening of music as we celebrate the Season of Advent on Sunday, December 18th at 6:30 p.m.  This will be a great event to invite friends and family to.

Please be sure to fill-out a Connect Card and let us know you'll be joining us for supper. 

All are invited to attend the preschool Christmas program Say Cheese for Christmas December 6th at 6:30 p.m.

SERVE

As of this writing we have posted 281.75 hours toward our Be the Missing Link community service goal of 2000 hours by Christmas. If you serve as a volunteer anywhere in the community you can count those hours. Hour record sheets and a list of current service opportunities are available at the Welcome Center and can be turned into the office. Service opportunities will also be listed on the website simply click on "Advent Info" and then "Serving Opportunities" to learn more.

New Hope Food Pantry (13310 S Blackbob Rd) is the location of our next group serving opportunity. December 12th 8:45am - noon. If you would like to be part of this please sign up at the Welcome Center
